About My Adventures

For 15 years, Rahja has explored, attended and otherwise adventured into the world of other mediums that included but haven’t limited her to body art.

After years of encouragement from her hero, her grandfather, she continued to persue her art using many different mediums from melted salad bowls to plant dyes.  Each of them offer her a new challenge.

Her love of the Middle East and  strong rememberance as a little girl, of National Geographic shows showing women with ornate designs on their hands stood out in her mind as she persued her love of Raqs Sharqui (aka Belly Dancing) and she attempted to persue someone who would teach her this ornate and otherwise intriguing artform.

A victim of reverse descrimination and unable to find anyone who would share their family secret with her, she in turn decided to just put her mind to research and learning by trial and error.  Where there errors!  Finally, after receiving numerous awards as well as encouragement by family and many friends, she found a new friend and co-hort in crime, Jennifer C.

Fine tuning the techniques and using experience as a guideline, Rahja relocated to the entertainment capital, Las Vegas.  Here, she has had many opportunities to add to her events list.  Literally hundreds of parties, conventions, Bat and Bar-mitzvahs, weddings and continuing with her first love, Ren Fairs.

Rahja has found her niche and reputation as a pronounced artist to rise into the ranks of the belly dance community as well as with Cultural Communities throughout Las Vegas, Southern California and even Arizona.

Since then, Rahja has continued her constant education in many artforms and using her knowledge to educate those around her about the dangers of “fake henna” versus that of an original and 100% natural henna state.  With that, she has also made contact with Valerie of Natures Body Art who sought out and learned about the beautiful Jagua process in Central America.

Now, Rahja has opened her body art business to educate, teach and show the beauty of what nature has provided us and continues to vow to use only 100% Natural products.

Enjoy reading about her adventures and challenges as one of the most lucrative and versatile artists in the Mojave Desert.
